Move with the Mayor
Mayor Sue Finkam invites the community to participate in Move with the Mayor® Spring Mental Health and Physical Activity Challenge. Join the Mayor and a number of City employees on a walk from Carmel City Hall to the Carmel Arts & Design District.
The challenge, organized by the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, is part of a national initiative promoting physical activity while fostering social connection in our community.

Move Your Body Every Day - Whether it’s a morning jog, a walk in the park, or biking on the Monon Greenway, daily movement improves heart health, reduces stress, and boosts energy.

Wednesday, May 7 - Bike to School Day
Bike to School Day is a national May event that promotes biking to school to support health, safety, and sustainability. Many Carmel elementary schools take part, competing for a “rolling” trophy awarded to the school with the highest percentage of participating students.

Friday, May 9 - Yoga
Join us at 7:00 AM for a revitalizing 45-minute outdoor yoga session at City Hall as part of "Move with the Mayor Month", a community-wide initiative to promote health and wellness. This free event encourages residents of all fitness levels to get active together in a supportive environment.
After the session, enjoy a refreshing Simplicity Cold Pressed Juice provided onsite to help you rehydrate and recharge. Come move, connect, and celebrate well-being with your community! Please bring your yoga mat and a water bottle.
Saturday, May 10 - Family Fun Ride
Join us for a fun morning at Carmel Elementary School. We'll have bike rodeo, free goodies, face painting, local fire and police with their vehicles, and a 2 mile bike ride! Register Here
Friday, May 16 - Bike to Work Day
National Bike to Work Day is always the third Friday in May so we hope you will come to celebrate it with us at the Midtown Plaza from 6:30 AM-9:00 AM. We will be serving coffee, donated by Just Love Coffee . https://justlovecoffeecafe.com/in-carmel/ and light snacks.

Calling all players and parents! Get on the court with a National Tennis Month event! From try tennis sessions, to cardio tennis, to Bring a Friend group lesson and racquet demo day, there is something for everyone. Join Mayor Sue Finkam for the Move with the Mayor® Spring Mental Health and Physical Activity Challenge!
On Thursday, May 29 at 3 p.m., walk with the Mayor and City employees from Carmel City Hall to Anthony’s Plaza in the Arts & Design District. Along the way, connect with community partners offering health-related resources, including Carmel Women’s Marathon, Cool Creek Family Health, Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation, Carmel Clay Historical Society, and Ascension St. Vincent.
Part of a national initiative by the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, this event encourages physical activity and social connection in support of mental and physical well-being.
