The Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Senior Living was established in August 2024 through Executive Order SF-2024-19 to ensure the community supports residents of, or nearing, retirement age.
The Commission advises the Mayor on housing needs; opportunities for physical, recreational, and educational activities; online resources; environmental safety and accessibility for seniors in Carmel.

Explore and advise on efforts to bring more senior housing to the City.

Evaluate ways to expand physical, recreational and educational activities for older adults.

Provide feedback regarding online offerings and resources that will enhance access to support services for older adults.
