Notice of Intent to Submit Application to Obtain Permit Coverage as an MS4 - June 1st, 2022
The City of Carmel, located at 1 Civic Square, Carmel, IN 46032, intends to discharge stormwater into the;
- Lion Creek-Little Eagle Branch of Eagle Creek, HUC 051202011104
- Irishman Run-Eagle Creek branch of Eagle Creek, HUC 051202011107
- Delaware Creek – Crooked Creek branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011005
- Williams Creek branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011004
- Cool Creek branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011001
- Carmel Creek – White River branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011003
- Howland Ditch – White River branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011006
- Mallory Granger Ditch – White River branch of Stoney Creek – White River, HUC 051202010705
- Vestal Ditch – White River branch of Crooked Creek – White River, HUC 051202011002
And is submitting a Notice of Intent to notify the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of the MS4 entity’s intent to comply with the requirements of the MS4 General Permit to discharge stormwater run-off.

WRCU - Exceptional Commitment to Conservation - UWRWA Award - 2013
In September of 2013, the City of Carmel along with the City of Noblesville, the Town of Fishers, and River Cleanup, Inc. were awarded the Exceptional Commitment to Conservation Award at the Upper White River Watershed Alliance Stewardship Awards for the 2013 White River Cleanup.
