The City of Carmel accepts applications for open positions only. Those positions will be posted on this website and in the Human Resources Department at Carmel City Hall. If you meet the job qualifications described in the job posting, we encourage you to apply. Applications must be submitted online. If you need help with the online application, contact Human Resources at (317)571-2465.

To apply for a position, you will first need to create an applicant profile. After you create your profile, you will be able to apply for one or more open positions. All applications received by the filing deadline will be screened. Depending upon the position you have applied for, the screening process may include one or more of the following: application review and evaluation, performance test, written test, and/or oral interview examination. Those candidates selected as best meeting the needs of the City will be invited to continue in the selection process. All applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and a background screening before they are hired. Additional tests may be required.
